Our Chester store manager is the first to complete our Q&A for 2019. Get to know Donald a little more, including his favourite trend of this year, biggest achievement and his home style...

Position: Manager at our bathroom and tile showroom in Chester

How long have you worked at Easy Bathrooms? 

A year and a half – since the Chester store opened!

Tell us a bit more about your day-to-day role? 

Every day is different – I mainly deal with customers and help the team to set up and organise the displays. One thing I love about my job is that there’s never a dull moment.

What’s the favourite part of your position? 

Seeing happy customers, whether they’ve bought a whole bathroom suite, or just a couple of products. I also like that we get to sell high quality products!

Do you have a biggest achievement in work? 

Helping to get the Chester store up and running, all of which wouldn’t be possible without my team, who make it a busy yet fun place to work.

Your favourite bathroom trend of 2019?

Large-format tiles have to be one of my favourites this year. Not only do they look good in any room, on floors or walls, they require less grout than smaller tiles. Check out our brand-new fantasia marble-effect large-format tiles here.

Another one would be feature strips that add a bit of ‘bling’.

What advice would you give to someone renovating their bathroom?

My best advice would be to call in to your local showroom and let us help you plan your bathroom – whether you’re looking for a relaxing space or practical we can design the bathroom of your dreams. And because our team does it everyday we might even spot something you have not thought of.

What one word would your colleagues use to describe you?

Happy – and as I say every day is an adventure for me at my age!

When you’re not at work, what would we catch you doing?

Usually you’ll find me chilling out!
