The Three Tile Trends You Need In Your Home In 2017

When it comes to renovating your home, there are lots of difficult decisions to think about. Colour schemes, flooring types and kitchen worktops are just a handful of things to mentally contend with.

But, right at the top of this list is picking the right tiles.

Whether you’re thinking about the flooring in your hallway, a feature wall in your bathroom or a splashback in your kitchen — it’s something you need to spend time planning.

After all, tiles can totally change the mood, style and personality of a room. Loud, geometric tiles can add a depth of colour and attitude to a home, while grey ceramic tiles can create a sleek, stylish feel.

At Easy Bathrooms, we love nothing more than spending our time helping customers to decide what tiles and products to choose.

We see lots of designs and patterns, and sometimes our customers even surprise us by pairing two ranges that we’d have never of thought about putting together — but that end up turning out beautifully!

So, we’ve put together this blog to showcase three of the top tile trends that we’ve seen so far in 2017.

  1. Geometric

Our head office, our designers, even our customers — none of us can get enough of this trend. If you’re the kind of person who likes to stand out from the crowd, then geometric tiles are for you.

From rustic symmetrical tiles and ethereal prints to subtle hexagon tiles in anthracite and modern cubes — there’s something to suit everyone.

Their chic look can add another dimension to an otherwise plain or characterless room.

Inspired? Then why not have a browse of some of our favourite geometric/patterned tiles here?

2. Concrete

We know what you’re thinking — ‘Why would I want grey slabs of cement anywhere other than in my house foundations?’. But give us a minute — because concrete-effect tiles are fast-becoming one of our favourite trends of this year.

It works especially well in a modern bathroom. Picture this: a large open shower with a feature wall of dense concrete tiles, paired with patterned floors and luxurious copper finishes.

3. Marble

Last, but certainly not least, is this opulent trend that’s taking its inspiration from some of the world’s most famous buildings (quick fact: the leaning tower of Pisa, the Taj Mahal and the Washington Monument are all crafted from this material!).

While real marble can be eye-wateringly expensive, lookalike tiles are much more affordable. We particularly like this trend in neutral colours — white, grey and black.
