Wakefield Showroom Nails the Traditional Brief

When the boiler in her bespoke – but 20-year-old bathroom – broke, Julie Penn knew that it was time for a bathroom upgrade.
Having lived in her Grade-II listed home for 25 years, Julie set out to find a bathroom company that were up to the mark.

Having seen our brand-new HQ and our bathroom showroom in Wakefield, she popped in for a look around. In her own words, the team were not only helpful, but they were also ‘fabulous’.

After deliberating over styles and pouring over magazines, Julie knew she wanted a traditional bathroom to suit the style of her home. But she also wanted to be guided by our team, and they had some great suggestions.
“They came up with the freestanding bath, which is gorgeous. It wasn’t even on display. They were excellent at putting the whole project together with their 3D designs, so I could completely visualise it. They matched the wallpaper I loved with everything else, showing us ideas and suggestions to make it work.
“By chance, one of the designers knew someone at the wallpaper company and organised a discount on our wallpaper.”
Julie opted for our Forest Green fitted bathroom furniture, giving them plenty of storage space. The shaker style offers a traditional feel, and the Cambridge Antique brass door handles finish the look off perfectly.

“The Rainford basin mixer and bath filler taps we loved were only available in chrome, so Easy Bathrooms custom designed them and plated them in brushed brass.”

The marble effect wall tiles are Fabulosa, which perfectly suit the traditional look. The yellow veining adds a softer touch to the marble look and make the space feel warm and inviting.

“We found it difficult to find a bathroom fitter who had availability, but Easy Bathrooms stepped in and recommended someone. He was fantastic and even went on to fit our new kitchen.

“My favourite part of the bathroom is our Art Deco bath. It’s an unusual shape and creates the wow-factor we were after.”
