Protect your entire home from limescale build-up with this compact, non-electric system. McAlpine Scale Defender tackles limescale while protecting your home and your pocket. The small but powerful Scale Defender is affordable, and safely seals and removes calcium, protecting your boiler, drinking water, appliances and entire home.
The McAlpine Scale Defender Starter Kit includes Scale Defender unit, cartridge and 15mm and 22mm connectors.
McAlpine Scale Defender can save hundreds of pounds as it keeps your heating system more efficient and helps prolong the life of pipes, fittings and appliances.
McAlpine Scale Defender should be fitted by a plumber, but at between 45–60 mins to fit it should only be an hours call out. Thereafter, it is easy to replace the cartridges, and the system requires no ongoing maintenance.

All orders are delivered on our own fleet of Easy Bathrooms vans or with a carefully selected external carrier if we can’t make the delivery ourselves. Next Day Delivery
Orders must be placed before 11.30am to qualify for next day delivery (excludes weekends & bank holidays). Terms and conditions apply.
Standard delivery
With standard delivery you can expect your items within 3 to 5 working days (excludes weekends & bank holidays).
Collection
You can always collect from one of our showrooms nationwide. We do charge a small collection fee for larger orders large items and some very large items are excluded. If your order is eligible for collection, you'll see the option at checkout along with the next available collection date.
Returns
When purchasing online you have up to 30 days to return items from the day after you received delivery. Excludes tiles, selected brands & perishable goods. Items can be returned directly to our warehouse at your own cost. Or you can return items to any of our nationwide showrooms.
