A look back at 2018…
It’s fair to say that 2018 has flown by. Filled with excitement – not only for the team at Easy Bathrooms HQ but for each of our showrooms – now we’re taking a look back at the highlights.
First up, we’re pleased to say that we’ve opened an additional 10 showrooms throughout 2018. In total we now have 27 showrooms across the UK – something we’re really proud of.
At the start of the year, we launched stores in Northampton, Bristol and Kettering, with Bracknell, Peterborough and Chelmsford opening their doors towards the end of the year.
As more showrooms open, in turn, we hire more staff. On average, there’s four members of staff that work at each showroom – that’s 108 staff employed at our stores alone!
This summer, growing our workforce further, we invested £142,000 into customer service. This saw us hire our distribution and transport manager, Kate Hudson, and experienced plumber, Lydia Luxford, to be part of the customer service team, providing technical knowledge and support to clients.
Alongside the expansion of our team, we invested in six new delivery vans – creating a fleet of 11 vehicles.
We’re set to open another five showrooms over the next five months, creating an additional 20 jobs – watch this space!
Another announcement we were happy to make this year is our partnership with Huddersfield Giants Community Trust – who are the official charity partner of Huddersfield Giants.
We’ve also been busy travelling up and down the country to exhibit at six interior shows. At the beginning of the year we were at Built It Live, where we showcased our beautiful Stonehouse furniture for the first time.
We then went on to three Homebuilding & Renovating Shows and Grand Designs Live.
More recently, we launched a brand new range of accessible baths – the Easy Living range. We developed six quality accessible baths, alongside a variety of complementary accessories and parts.
We invested £30,000 into the development of these walk-in baths, allowing users of all ages and abilities safe and easy access. Each design fits into a range of spaces, from en-suites to large master bathrooms.
So, after a year of hard work, our team are looking forward to the festive period. Our HQ and customer service team will be taking a well-earned break and will close Saturday 22nd December and reopen Wednesday 2nd January.
