Customer Bathroom: Luxury Marble

Take a look into Emma's Luxurious new bathroom

There's nothing more exciting to us than receiving images of a client's bathroom and Emma has generously let us share them, to help us inspire you with your own master bedroom ensuite ideas.

Here she talks to us about her new bathroom project.

Emma has lived at her property for 3 years and she lives with her partner, child and cat. She decided that the previous bathroom was in desperate need of renovation as nothing had been changed in over 25 years and it felt dark and grim with no sign of freshness.

When asked about the style and interior look she was going for, Emma said she is a neutral kind of girl and loves combining old with new. She feels calm in tidy spaces with minimal clutter and likes clean, fresh lines. The main aim for the bathroom was to create a bright yet calm spa/zen-like feel in the space with a touch of luxury.

This was achieved by painting the walls in a soft off-white colour (to avoid the space looking cold). Emma chose the Mere Freestanding Acrylic Bath and the Calacatta Marron Matt Marble Effect Floor Tiles. This combination added a touch of luxury whilst creating a warm inviting room. The Ferris Vanity Unit in Light Grey adds an additional colour to break up the bathroom.

Emma's favourite part of the new bathroom is the free-standing bath as she absolutely loves bath time and the family is also feeling the benefit from the new underfloor heating, as well as the beautiful Hive Traditional Heated Towel Warmer.

As we know, renovating doesn't always go to plan and Emma said she had quite a few obstacles along the way. "First of all we were against time. We began the renovation in November and wanted it finished before Christmas but unfortunately our plumber caught covid. So, we then had to go out searching for a plumber who could fit us in before the holidays! Cutting a long story short and after 5 different plumbers the bathroom was completed just a few days before Christmas. Another thing we came across was the difficulty working with such an old house such as ours and the not so straight walls! Our tiler did a fantastic job with the wall tiles; however it took longer than he thought due to the walls not being level. Last but not least, trying to fit the shower screen became a nightmare as the walls were so uneven."
Final Thoughts
Emma told us that her overall experience with Easy Bathrooms was great. Delivery was on time, products are of high quality and communication with the team was brilliant!
